Endress+Hauser Opens Expanded U.S. Headquarters in Greenwood
June 29, 2026

Inside Indiana Business - Switzerland-based measurement and automation technology company Endress+Hauser on Tuesday marked the opening of its expanded U.S. headquarters in Greenwood.
The nearly $51 million, 108,000-square-foot facility includes commercial office and light industrial space, as well as the company’s new Design and Innovation Studio, and the headquarters for its sales and service partner, George E. Booth Co.
Construction on the facility began in November 2023, and Todd Lucey, general manager for Endress+Hauser USA, said the grand opening is a milestone for the company.
“Two and a half years is a long time to work on the project,” Lucey said. “Taking all the things we thought it would be, this is well exceeding our expectations.”
Endress+Hauser said the new building serves as a central hub for the company, housing its projects and solutions, human resources, and legal teams, as well as its Flow Research and Development team.
Another key component in the facility is the Design and Innovation Studio, which encompasses 3,000 square feet devoted to STEM education and workforce development. Endress+Hauser plans to host K-12 field trips, educator visits and hands-on learning experiences through robots, 3D printing, coding and more.
Peter Selders, CEO of Endress+Hauser Group in Switzerland, said having a dedicated space to reach out to students and expose them to STEM principles and careers is core to the company’s mission.
“We always engage with young people and try to really contribute to their education and to bring them into contact with technical stuff quite early in their life,” Selders said. “Because we think that is important also not only to somehow get into contact with potential employees quite early, but it is important for society because innovation is the core for the further development of our society.”
Lucey added that fueling the talent development pipeline is crucial for Endress+Hauser, which hires from within for about 80% of its open positions.
When asked why Endress+Hauser decided to expand in Greenwood rather than moving to a new location, Selders said the people who have been key to the company’s success, along with a “strong link to the community.”
Having the headquarters for George E. Booth and Co. in the building is part of an effort to enhance collaboration and customer engagement, Endress+Hauser said.
“This new headquarters represents an important milestone for George E. Booth Co. and our partnership with Endress+Hauser,” Scott Young, president of George E. Booth Co., said in written remarks. “Bringing our teams together on the Greenwood Campus allows us to collaborate more closely, strengthen our relationships and continue delivering high‑value solutions and support to our customers.”
Endress+Hauser currently employs about 750 people in Greenwood, while George E. Booth Co. has about 70 employees. Combined, the two companies plan to add about 190 jobs over the next decade. Selders said his company is also already in the planning stages for a new building on the campus, though he did not provide specific details.
Endress+Hauser added that the facility achieved LEED Gold certification for its environmental quality through sustainable features such as geothermal heating and cooling, a solar panel-covered roof, rain gardens and native prairie landscaping.
On Thursday, Endress+Hauser officials will be in Pennsylvania for the opening of its new 88,437-square-foot Edgmont Campus, just west of Philadelphia.
