Senate Enrolled Act 76, known as the “FAIRNESS Act,” addresses several matters relating to immigration enforcement in Indiana. The presentation will provide a general overview of the Act, with particular emphasis on its provisions concerning the employment of illegal aliens. Attendees will learn about the law’s requirements, the Attorney General's investigative and enforcement authority, and the safe harbor provisions available to employers. The presentation is intended to help Indiana manufacturers understand how SEA 76 applies to employers and provide practical information for navigating the new law.

Blake Lanning, Assistant Chief Deputy Attorney General: Blake assists and advises Attorney General Todd Rokita on various legal matters and strategic initiatives. Before joining the Attorney General's Office, he practiced law at a firm in Washington, DC. Blake has also served as Special Assistant to U.S. Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia and Counsel to Senator Mike Lee on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
