10-HOUR COURSE

The "OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach," presented by the Indiana Manufacturers Association, will detail how OSHA regulations may be implemented in the workplace, with a focus on the most frequently referenced standards. Also included will be rights and responsibilities under the act, voluntary protection programs and a special hazard recognition segment. All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. 

You Will Learn To: 
• Locate and apply OSHA standards, policies and procedures, 
  and regulations to existing safety and health programs 
• Identify violation of OSHA standards 
• Describe abatement procedures 
• Conduct internal training on OSHA regulations 

The Agenda Will Include: 
• Introduction to OSHA - OSHA Act; General Duty Clause, 
   Employee Employer Responsibilities & Rights  
• Material Handling - Power Industrial Trucks - Subpart N 
• Personal Protective Equipment - Subpart I 
• Machine Guarding - Subpart O 
• Walking/Working Surfaces - Subpart D 
• Electrical - Subpart S 
• Hazard Communications - Subpart Z 
• Hazardous Materials - Flammable/ Combustible Liquids - Subpart H 
• Means of Egress & Fire Protection - Subpart E/L 


Details: Fees include a light breakfast, refreshments, the OSHA Standards for General Industry book. Lunch will be on your own. There are several restaurants located nearby or in Circle Center Mall. 

Cost: $399 for IMA members and $499 for nonmembers.

The "OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Outreach" is designed for private-sector personnel and provides a comprehensive review on how the Occupational Safety and Health Act provisions may be effectively implemented in the workplace. The course will provide an in-depth analysis of employers' rights and responsibilities, inspections, penalties, recordkeeping, and hazard recognition, as well as specific compliance assistance on major employer requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

Vincent Plank, CSP

Your presenter will be Vincent Plank. Vincent has been assisting with Safety Management Group's clients since January 2012. Vincent received a Bachelor of Science in Safety Management and is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Vincent has received numerous Customer Service Triumph Achievement Awards from Safety Management Group for the exemplary service he has provided to clients. In 2012, Vincent met the requirements to provide OSHA Outreach training courses for General Industry. In 2013, Vincent became an authorized first aid/CPR/AED trainer through the American Red Cross. In 2015, Vincent met the requirements to provide OSHA Outreach training courses for the Construction Industry. 

Vincent's employment experiences include Plant Safety Engineer for TOA (USA) and Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer for International Automotive Components. He later became a Regional Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for International Automotive Components. He is active with the Central Indiana Chapter of American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and currently serves on the board as Treasurer.

Successful Course Completion

All participants will receive an official 10-Hour or 30-Hour wallet card from the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA, as well as a certificate of completion from IMA.

All conferences will take place at the IMA Conference Center, located in the PNC Center/Hyatt Regency building in downtown Indianapolis. The PNC Center/Hyatt Regency is located on the corner of Washington and Illinois Streets, and the conference center is located on the 10th floor of the East Tower.
