Wendy Parker
Associate Director, Business Development
EmployIndy Modern Apprenticeship Program (MAP)
Wendy Parker is the Associate Director, Business Development for EmployIndy’s Modern Apprenticeship Program (MAP). MAP aims to provide high school students in Marion County with impactful work-based learning experiences and to create a talent pipeline for local employers. Wendy drives the program’s employer engagement strategy, and brings to the role a host of private sector, finance, sales, hedge fund, international, and nonprofit experience. Most recently, Wendy served as an Entreprenuership Coach and Grant Writer for Edna Martin Christian Center, and previously JP Morgan Private Bank and Tendance Finance.
Wendy attended North Central High School and has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social and Political Science from the University of Cambridge. After living in Chicago for many years, she moved back to Indiana in 2015. An empty-nester with a daughter at IU, Wendy lives in Irvington with her husband and three dogs. With a passion for hunger mitigation, Wendy serves on the Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana board, and volunteers with Cooking Matters through the Indy Hunger Network.
