Training and Pandemic Response

best practices by providing training to your employees on
workplace safety during an outbreak, epidemic or pandemic.
Our training partner Peak Performance’s 3-Hour, Healthy Business Certification, will provide your employees with information on how to work safely during these types of events and educate them regarding best practices on how to operate so they are confident working at your business and know they are safe. It is clear that Infectious Disease Prevention will become a required business plan, even post COVID-19.

2021 Training: July 27, 2021 - 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. EST
The Healthy Business Certification program introduces employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting hazards associated with their work. This 3-hour training is designed for any worker who wants to acquire knowledge on workplace health and pandemic response.
Participants will become familiar with the standards and regulations that OSHA, the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have set in place to make sure all employees function in a healthy work environment. Participants will also receive a ready-made template for creating their own company business prevention plan.
At the completion of the course, and after submission of your company's Business Prevention Plan, participants will receive a Healthy Business Certification letter, certificate, and decal, as well as a digital SHRM badge earning them 0.3 CEUs. Certification is good for one year and must be renewed annually. Attendance throughout entire session is required.
ANNUAL HBC RECERTIFICATION
Recertification is very important as both federal and individual states are issuing more specific guidelines. While the training that you participate in this year meets or exceeds these guidelines, it is important to keep up with the latest information and best practices. It is clear that Infectious Disease Prevention will become a required business plan, even post-COVID-19. To recertify, a business will need to complete the training, review and update (if necessary) and resubmit their business prevention plan plan each year. This is a great way to ensure that your plan is reviewed annually, is up to date with all the latest information, and a way to audit your business practices against your plan (doing as you say you do). It is also an opportunity to send another person from your company in order to grow your team's knowledge of infectious disease prevention.
